One goal met…

Happy New Year! 2015 is going to be a fantastic year, and I hope this post finds you relaxing today before you rush headlong into those resolutions. One of my resolutions is to be full-timing it as a writer. I know I can’t control my financial success, but I can control my writing success. And with that, I’ll let you know I’m meeting my first goal of the year by releasing book two in my Elan Series. I revealed the ebook cover a couple of weeks ago and today I have the completed paperback cover.

I finalized the blurb for BLUR and got it to my cover artist who put the finishing touches on my paperback cover. If you’re like me, you enjoy the images on the cover of a real hold-in-your-hands book just as much as you enjoy the story inside. I always try to figure out how an author’s story inspired the cover image, and I wanted an image that would make a reader go, “Yeah. I remember that part.” Or, “Now I get why she called it BLUR.” Or, “I can totally see how this represents the story.”

Anyhow, that’s what I wanted for BLUR‘s cover, and I could only get that on a full-wrap paperback cover. So, here it is.

BLUR pb for website

I LOVE this cover! It was my idea, but Leslee Hare, my cover artist, put it all together. BLUR will be available as an ebook and paperback on February 2, 2015.

Also, be on the look-out for the covers of the new novellas I’m writing to be shared in the coming weeks. The novellas connect the books in the Elan Series and give the readers some answers to questions that were implied in the novels but not quite explored. The first novella, Whispers, should drop in mid February, with another coming out in April before the release of the final book in the Elan Series, BOUND.

If you’d like to have sneak peeks at new covers and samples of the story before it is released, sign up for my email list. I’ll be sending out the first two chapters of BLUR in January to my email subscribers, TWO WEEKS, before it’s released on Amazon!

~Be blessed.

About tracieroberts

It's been a few years since I wrote this profile and, in that time, I've grown as a writer and a person. I still love to read, but writing is now my passion (behind my God and my family). I still teach English (in my 17th year), and I still live in Florida with my husband, two daughters, and multiple pets. What has changed is that I've published my first New Adult novel, ECHO, with a second in the series on the way, as well as a couple of novellas and that stand-alone, now titled Second Chance. 2015 is going to be a busy year for me! I hope you hang with me and see where this year takes us. ~Be blessed.
